To equip individuals with the skills, knowledge and attitudes to perform tasks realted to a high proficiency in survival craft

• Take charge of a survival craft or rescue boat during and after launch
• Operate a survival craft engine
• Manage survivors and survival craft after abandoning ship
• Use location devices, including communication and signalling apparatus and pyrotechnics
• Apply first aid to survivors

• Must be 18 year or over
• Certificate of Medical Fitness
• Basic Safety and Security Awareness Certificate Discharge book / six (6) months sea service
• Steering certificate
